Insurance
Sol Y Sombra Therapy is currently In-network with Aetna.
If you have a plan that provides Out-of-network benefits, SYS can provide a Superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Plans that may cover Out-of-network providers include PPO or POS (Point-of-Service) Plans.
Dyadic Psychotherapy
When a child under 7 is the one receiving treatment, caregiver involvement is absolutely needed. The level of involvement will vary depending on the type of treatment.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) needs the caregiver to be present for every session.
Sessions where caregivers are present may be up to 90 minutes long. The Follow-up session fee for self-pay clients will be honored just the same as a 50-minute session.
Base rate: $925
The fee includes 1-2 structured interviews (lasting between 1-2 hours each), needed communication with your attorney, and report writing. The report will be completed 2-3 weeks after the last interview date.
Expedited rate: An additional $200
An expedited report is completed 5 business days after the last interview date.

The No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimate
The No Surprises Act protects uninsured (or self-pay) individuals from receiving unexpectedly high medical bills. Once an individual schedules a service with a health care provider or health care facility, that provider or facility must give them a “good faith estimate” of the cost expected to charge in services. An individual may also request a good faith estimate at any time, regardless of whether they have scheduled a service or if the individual is in the middle of treatment. If an individual is insured but they do not plan to use their insurance to pay for health care services, they may also request a good faith estimate.
Please note that the Good Faith Estimate is only an estimate based on the information known at the time the estimate was provided, including the cost of a single service and the length of time Sol Y Sombra Therapy reasonably expects to provide services.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
